Project Overview

A large wind turbine—measuring approximately 4 metres in internal diameter—suffered coil damage that required urgent attention. SC Rewinds Ltd was called to site by Green Energy to carry out the repair.

Repair Strategy

• Our team climbed 40 metres up the turbine to access the damaged coils
• The faulty coils were removed from the stator and transported to our workshop
• We manufactured new coils in-house, ensuring precise fit and performance
• Returned to site, installed, varnished, and tested the new coils

The turbine remains fully operational to this day
